Peter was born in 1966 in the village of Byske, 30 km north from the town Skellefteå, in northern Sweden. He is presently living at a small village located close to Skellefteå. He works full time as a freelance photographer and writer specializing in wildlife and nature. In 1996, he was awarded the Swedish Nature Photographers and Kodak award and is today a member of the association The Swedish Nature Photographers/N.
In 2002 he won a first prize in the category "In Praise of Plants" of the BBC global contest "Wildlife Photographer of the year", in competition with 18,500 pictures from 60 countries. And also a Highly Commended in that category. Two years later he was awarded again in the same competition with a first prize in the category "From dusk to dawn” with an image from Namibia depicts a zebra and evening sky. In 2006 he had two Highly commended in this competition. He is one of the contributing photographers in the project “ Wild Wonders of Europe”. In March and April 2009 he was photographing flowers and plants on Crete and Cyprus for the project.
Working worldwide, he has in recent years visited Falkland Islands, Japan, Madagascar, Kenya, Costa Rica, USA and other countries.
