Bill & Linda Lane Workshops: Chincoteague, Eastern Shore, VirginiaFrom: 11/07/2012 To: 11/10/2012Register
If you have heard of the annual pony round up in Assateague, then you are familiar with Chincoteague for they are side by side. This is an island on the Eastern Shore, home to the Chincoteague ponies. Seldom do we visit when we do not get to photograph these wonderful creatures; this year there was a foal in the group. You will find a nice variety of subjects: lighthouse, Sika Elk, fishing vessels, buoys, fishermen, reflections, thousands of birds, ponies, white tailed deer, scenics, sunrises and sunsets, sea foam rainbows and thousands and thousands of Snow Geese landing and taking off at the same time which is a sight to behold. There are certain moving experiences that never grow old. In the evening the geese are lit by the pink/yellow glow of sunset. And oh yes, this year we delighted in photographing two otters just frolicking and teasing us as we followed them up and down the canal. They were as curious of us as we were of them. |
